Summer 2023 -Work in Progress

We arrived in the boat yard on the 16th of July around 7:00 PM. Tired after a 13 hour trip. I-90 was plugged solid out of Cle Elum so we detoured through Leavenworth. Then around Monroe heading into Everett there was an accident that set us back another 1.5 hours.

I do not have the masts ready yet, and to build masts once she's in Alaska will not be an easy task.
This summer we'll work on the to-do list below and get it all ready to install the masts next spring.
Work to be done this season.
  1. Rope work on poop deck handrail stanchions.
    Need to install the new supports first.
  2. Cover the main support post in the galley with fancy rope work.

  3. Mount Hypo valve in head so the urine drains into the grey water tank
  4. Aft Helm. Install new engine control cables throughout the ship.
    Just before coming north in 2022 I searched the web for a switching unit to choose between the aft and forward helm engine controls. Would you believe I found the last one in the world on eBay and it is being shipped from Latvia! (FJB)
  5. Add a switch on the control panel for the compost toilet fan.
  6. Solar Panels
  7. Hull - Repair Cracking

  8. Add a boot stripe to the ship !
  9. Mount new Power Monitor Plate
    Added an indicator for the status of the gray water sensor switches. The full LED flashes letting me know the pump didn't start.
    Which means I either have to make sure the switch is in the "Auto" position or the computer needs resetting.
  10. Install new laser engraved plate for gray water sensor.
  11. Star Link internet system.
      
  12. Replace cracked wooden ring on the aft helm that supports the plastic dome.

  13. Install 1.5" zinc on rudder shaft. Missed this along the way !
  14. Radar
  15. Mount 12 Volt TV up in the middle of the windshield.
  16. Aft deck rail supports.
    Add supports for aft deck rails which connect the uprights to the side of the ship. 16" bend 2" on each end.
  17. Replace Port Side Stairs (Took to AZ)
  18. Fancy wood work where aft cabin meets the cap rail.
    Took the "Whale's Tails" side pieces to AZ for rebuilding.
