We had a leak in the shower throughout the winter which is right under the windshield and made quite a mess. As you can see the front windshield took a beating this winter. Yep that's fungus growing out the bottom.

This is the butyl rubber I put in last year. What the hell! It is running down the windshield.
We used to depend on that stuff, I guess the Chinese changed the formula.

Had some wood rot, removed and filled it it in. Decided to rework the whole windshield. Remove all butyl rubber, re-coat the wood strips and fix the canvas.

Starboard side ready to seal. I am going to coat all the seams with Rustoleum Stop Leak. A product like Flex Seal only it is paintable.
This will provide a rubber seal around all the windows.

Port Side ready to seal
| All sealed with Stop Leak and 2 coats of deck paint. Would you believe it rained the other night and it was still leaking into the shower. The water was coming in behind the glass on the starboard side and running down into the frame. WHHATTT?
I then siliconed around all the windows to seal them. We'll see in the next rain if it does the trick.

Wood frames re-installed. Next step is to silicone everything ! (Note: In FJB's world, a tube of silicone is now $11.98 plus tax ! )
