Spring / Summer 2020

A very sad time this January, our good friend Ted Keiper who owns the property where we are building the boat passed away.

He was really looking forward to seeing the boat launched.

He will be missed by all of us...

Did we ever in a million years we would be put through this kind of crap. Shopping is dangerous now. I want the 60's back !!

Arrived June 1st, 2020 but took a few days to settle in to the trailer. Leaving anything for 7 months invites a few burps now and then. This time it is the drain plug on the water heater leaking, the toilet valve leaking, and the drain under the sink.. you guessed it.. leaking !
The boat survived the harsh elements for yet another year. My experiment of using Bristol Finish again paid off, it looks as good as new.
The first time I applied it I followed the directions to apply the Clear Penetrating Epoxy Sealerâ„¢ first then wait until it is tacky but not dry, and then apply the Bristol Finish. Now I know NOT to do this. So the Linseed Oiled areas need to be sanded off and a new coat of Bristol Finish applied.
But alas my Fein oscillating sander gave up the ghost, just when I needed it the most. Too expensive to fix, so I purchased an Avid Power oscillating sander. We'll see if it will stand up to running 6-8 hours a day.
