Spring / Summer 2004
My next projected launch date is Summer 2005. We want to do a few maiden voyages or shakedown cruises, then have it hauled out for the winter so we can go south the Arizona.
Once the burn ban was off Gnettie started to burn all the old wood and stuff around here. We need to do a major cleanup so when we leave next year the land will be cleaned up for Ted, the new owner of the property.
She also found time to do a lot of canning, so yes, black berry jam, apple sauce and such will be in everyone's Christmas Stockings.
Gnettie also started to smoke meats this year so look forward to smoked turkey for Christmas dinner. Life is still really good..
The haul out will give us the opportunity to check over the hull's bottom to see how the bottom paint is holding up, and if necessary, get the prop matched to the ship's hull and engine. If the prop does not fair well we will need it re-pitched.
The 2002 updates where delayed because my latest video camera quit working. It is an 8 mm and I can no longer find anyone with an 8mm to copy the tapes to VHS. I have now purchased a digital camera and the results are fantastic.
