Spring / Summer 2018

The disappointment his year was coming to the boat and finding out all our hard work in sanding and refinishing with Bristol Finish was a disaster. It was coming off the wood all over the boat like a mange.

So I contacted my wood working buddy, Fred and after talking to him decided to simply oil the wood with Boiled Linseed Oil. Forget all the fancy varnishes. I have come to the conclusion after sanding the wood 3 or 4 times that you cannot seal wood, it is alive, organic and it is always expanding a contracting. So no epoxy finish or varnish will ever hold. Will keep you posted...
