This year it is all boat and only the boat so we hope to make a lot of progress.
My brother Ron who you'll see building all the metal pieces on this web site, died in a freak accident in February. This ship and all his metal art work will be part of the legacy he leaves behind. He life was an exciting wild ride, and I wouldn't have missed it for the world.
So needless to say I am losing my right hand this summer, and for all the summers to come.
Got here late in the season, because of circumstances beyond our control.
Our first mission is to fix the stairway that we use to enter the boat. That being completed I had to first do some repairs to the boat.
First repair was the rear hatch. The 5200 glue did not hold up and the lexan plastic was falling out. Also our glue joints came apart. Man is this weather ever hard on ships. That being completed we are now working on the rotted deck.
1. Interior Hull My nephew Jim showed up for 2 weeks and we fiber glassed the ribs in the hull interior. A good time was had by all.

New 30' by 60' tarp, double wrapped to withstand 70 MPH winds. Let's hope Washington doesn't get these severe winds this winter. This large tarp will prevent any water getting in anywhere, so there will be no more repairs to do come spring! |
