These Starboard side stairs have been on the boat for about 15 years. So I won't complain about how long they lasted.
We removed the fancy rope work because they are too slippery when wet.
Because the stairs were in good shape compared to the port side I decided to just plug the holes so I could mount the stairs from below.
No matter how I tried eventually the water always got through the screw covers and rotted the wood.
