- Gray Water System 1
My new gray water sensor failed after a few weeks. The pump would not shut off when the tank emptied.
Turns out the empty sense float switch failed. More high quality Chinese crap !
Solution: Replaced the float switch with one of the 2 spares.
- Gray Water System 2
Oh Shit.. Every time the gray water pump ran we could smell the stench. Yikes !
I have a tank to use as a spare gray water tank with a mascerator pump attached that can pump it out through a Y fitting to the through hull.
Well the mascerator's diaphram must have tore because the gray water was back flowing into this tank via the Y and overflowing into the bilge.
Solution: For simplicities sake, removed the pump and all it's plumbing !
- Port Side Power
The power failed to the port side of the ship. The fan would hardly turn. Found out it was a bad switch. The switch didn't totally fail, but had a voltage drop across the terminals.
More high quality Chinese crap !
Solution: Replaced the switch.
- Freezer Power
Could not get the aft cabin freezer to work on the 12 VDC system. E1 error come up. Found out it was the same situation as the port side power problem, bad switch.
I opened it up.. Yikes! It would be hard pressed to pass 2 amps let alone 10 ! More high quality ChinyCrap !
Points are burned. Switch contacts are supposed to be plated to prevent this.
Solution: Replace all the ChinyCrap switches with real Switchcraft switches.
- Fridge Power
Gnettie informed me that the fridge was no longer working. Took it off the 12vdc system and put it back on shore power. You guessed it another failed switch.
Solution: Same as above.. Replace all the switches with real Switchcraft switches.
