Starboard Side Under Deck - 2012

Here is another big job I forgot I had to do. After I replaced the deck I forgot to insulate it. On the port side repair I put the insualtion in when I put the deck on.
Also I had not hooked up the nurse tank that feeds the deisel heater.
Here you can see the fuel pump and hoses for the nurse tank now in place. I tried the pump and it didn't work. I need to place it with a good old reliable Facet Pump. You can also see where it is not insulated under the deck. This is a catch 22 job, you have to do one thng before the other or you'll be all screwed up. So before I can put on the insulation I need to cut the hole for the deisel fuel inlet. First step is to drill a small hole from underneath.

Hole is cut, then sanded so it is round. Then I take a router and round the edges to match the shape of the filler. Final step, silicone it and mount it in place. Through its lifetime there will be 1000's of gallons of fuel going in this filler.

Insulation is done, and the cedar has been sanded, ready to be varathaned. The cedar is also sanded below.

Cedar ceilings are done ! Looking good , yes?

Diesel tank connected to the filler and nurse tank. This is how it looks under the deck.
