Now the first step in completing the galley. The Cold Locker. This is an area beside the fridge and stove.
Here is the area to fill. Notice the missing insulation on the hull beside the fridge. This is below the waterline and will help cool vegatables, etc. So this area is a cold locker and the area aft is for more drawers and or storage.
I have installed the braces for framing it all in. Now you see I have a paper template to mark out the curve of the hull for a bulkhead.
Bulkhead fitted into place. Now to start installing the ceilings.
Here I go again fitting in more cedar ceilings. I think this wil be end of them until I remember I still need to do the aft cabin.
Ceilings are in and the drawer frame.
Fancy white covering on the outside, drawers and trim in place.
Now to install shelviong racks, and insulate all around except for the hull area.
As you can see first I insulated the fridge side with ridid foam and covered it with a white sheet of plastic.
Shelving racks in place and painted,
Insulation is in and covered. Now for the counter top.
Fast wasn't it. Took almost a day to fit the counter top. Now to cut out for the hatch and then cover in formica.
Counter top upside down ready to cut out the formica. Hatch has also been cut out.
Formica glued in place and now framing in the opening.
Here it is all done. If you are wondering what the little black dot is on the bottom right, I added a thermometer.
