The Head - 2011

What is the most important part of any boat??? That's right "The Head" The place to catch up on your thoughts, read a magazine or just enjoy some peace and solitude, until the ring forms on your ass and your legs go to sleep. I always said, "If the fridge door opens and the toilet flushes, I'm home ! "
Here I am at the beginning, what to do when there is nothing but air where you need to put stuff. First thing to do is make sure the shower drain fits over an empty area in the bilge. Guess what, no such luck. I need to make a cutout in the floor stringer.

I cut the stringer out to fit the shower drain.
Here it is all done. Hopefully the shower drain will now fit the hole.

I cut out the floor under the sink for the drain and water supply lines. At this point the head floor is in place and screwed down. Tub Roughed in.

Side shelf bulkhead in place. Ceilings going in. Gnettie wants the back of her shelves to look good and be washable. Will use this area to store all our towels.

Here is where the throne is going. What a #$%^& of a job getting all those angles right. This is where the toilet is going to live.

Half way there. Now to install ceilings to cover the hull, and start fancying it up. At the end of the season, this is how far I got with the head. Partions in place ready for the ceiling and shelf to go in.
