Interior - 2000

Here is some of the major work below the pilot house floor. The picture was taken standing in the aft cabin doorway looking forward. The step area you see goes up onto the pilot house floor level. The tank towards the forward end of the ship is 1 of 2, 100 gallon diesel tanks which were scrounged from an old semi truck.

As you can see al the cedar ceilings are in all along the hull. You will also notice how stout the construction is on the pilot house supports (uprights) Everywhere in the ship where beams come together are knees which are through bolted with 3/8 inch bolts.. Jeanette and I have fitted at least 300 of these knees in the ship so far. Keep in mind that every knee is a different angle and has to be fitted by hand. Thank god for the double angled miter saw.

Building the settee floor. I raised it up so you can see out the windows all around. Mock up of the settee table using cardboard tubes and styrofoam.
