Chain Plate Building - 2000

My brother Ron showed up late in the fall and I put him to work. As you can see from the pictures here he is a master steel worker. He also build the beaver tail and all the steel for the rear of the prop tube.
This is how this fun stuff is done.
We start out with steel as shown. Then we measure out the length needed and then I scribe a pattern on the end with the template I drew.
   
Ron then cuts out the pattern, then bends the steel to fit the hull.

Here he is shown drilling the hole to receive the giant turnbuckle.
