My brother Ron showed up late in the fall and I put him to work. As you can see from the pictures here he is a master steel worker. He also build the beaver tail and all the steel for the rear of the prop tube. | |
This is how this fun stuff is done.

We start out with steel as shown. Then we measure out the length needed and then I scribe a pattern on the end with the template I drew. | |
Ron then cuts out the pattern, then bends the steel to fit the hull. | |
These are a few pics of the "Master" at work! Here he is shown drilling the hole to receive the giant turnbuckle. |
