Hull Turn Over - 1982

As you can see the hull was built upside-down. So this monumental day was the day it was turned right-side up.

These photos were scanned from 38 year old slides. Thanks to my good friend Fred Merrifield they have been re-touched to a viewable condition.

My brother Ron starting to fair the hull on the backside. Another shot of him hard at work !! We did finish the filling and fairing before turn-over.
All faired out, cover off, ready for the turn-over. The crane arrives.
Straps are hung from a from a harness and wrapped around the hull. Then the straps are rotated flipping the boat over. Starting the roll over.
Gotta keep rolling. Slowly and carefully keep rotating.. You can just start to see the strong back.
Over she comes. Forgot to take all my shit out of the strong back. She's upright !!

Ready for me to keep working on her...
